  • Your calculator inputs stay on your device. We never see, collect, or store any financial numbers you enter.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent first.
  • We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to personalize those ads.
  • We don't sell your data. We have no database of user information to sell.
  • You're in control. You can decline or block cookies and the site still works fully.

1. Who We Are

CheapInTheCity.com is a free financial calculator website. We are not a financial institution, lender, or data broker. We provide tools to help people make informed personal finance decisions.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about this because it matters:

  • We do not collect, transmit, or store any financial data you enter into our calculators, loan amounts, balances, income, interest rates, or any other numbers.
  • All calculator computations happen entirely within your browser. That data never leaves your device.
  • We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any personal information to use any tool on this site.
  • We do not use login systems, user profiles, or session-based tracking of your calculator inputs.

3. Information We Do Collect

a) Consent and Privacy Choices

Consent is handled by Google's certified consent management platform, which is provided through Google AdSense. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you will see a Google consent message asking whether you agree to the use of cookies for advertising and analytics. If you visit from a US state with a privacy law that gives you opt-out rights, you will see a Google privacy message with those options. Your choice is stored in your browser by Google's consent tool so you are not asked on every visit, and you can change it at any time using the privacy and cookie settings link that Google's message adds to the page.

b) Analytics Data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) with the tag ID G-DENT6PWW8P. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off by default and are only set if you agree in Google's consent message. Google Analytics collects:

The limited data we have access to is used only for:

CheapInTheCity.com does not have affiliate relationships and does not receive compensation for any listings, recommendations, or links appearing on this Site. All calculators are free to use and all list content is editorially independent.

CheapInTheCity.com is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store your financial data, there is no database of your calculator inputs to protect or breach. Our site is served over HTTPS, ensuring that the connection between your browser and our server is encrypted. Our hosting provider maintains standard security practices for server infrastructure.
