Tapes at varying days and times. Typically two tapings back-to-back one day a month.

Location: Metropolis Studios 105 East 106th Street at Park Avenue

Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID. Those under 18 may be allowed on a limited basis.

Sometimes there is one taping; often times there are two back-to-back tapings. All shows focus on “superstars of sports and entertainment”, which are interviewed live on stage in front of a studio audience. Lunch and drinks are served to the studio audience on days with back-to-back tapings. You should dress business casual. No sportswear or jeans allowed on the studio floor.

The Daily Show is one of the hottest TV shows filmed in NY. These tickets are not easy to come by. You should try to book your space as early as possible. There is a 4-seat ticket limit. Get there early so as to not lose your spot, which can happen if the show is overbooked and you get there later than others.

 

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Tapes Mondays at 4:30pm and 7pm, Tuesday and Wednesdays at 5:30pm, and Thursdays at 4:30pm

Location: Ed Sullivan Theater 1697 Broadway

Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID

Tickets: Submit your request for tickets on their website and be ready for a phone call up to a day before the taping. You will be asked a random trivia question about the show and you must answer is correctly to get your tickets! Request your tickets in person at the door of the theater. Line up to request your tickets right at 9am and no later than 9:30am! They do NOT want you to line up before 9am. If you do, they will disqualify you from getting tickets. You may also try for standby tickets by calling 212-247-6497 starting at 11am on the day of the show, but it is almost impossible to get through.

The Dr. Oz Show

Tapes on varying days at 10:00am and again at 3:00pm

Location: NBC Studios 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Studio 6A

Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID

Tickets: Visit doctoroz.com/get-show-tickets to request tickets 3 – 6 weeks in advance. Max of 4 tickets per request. There are standby tickets available at 8:30am the day of the taping at the NBC Studio Tour Desk.

 

Sometimes a producer calls audience members ahead of the show to ask you questions about a certain topic. You may be asked to participate in a segment of the show!

 

Good Morning America

Tapes Monday through Friday from 7am to 9am

Location: 44th Street and Broadway

Age Requirements: N/A

Tickets: No tickets necessary to see the show. Simply show up around 7am and stand at the window of the studio to see in. They have some outside filming as well. If you’d like a tour of the studio after the show with the possibility of meeting some of the hosts and guests, stop by the GMA website and sign up for the day you’ll be there.

The Jeremy Kyle Show

Tapes 2 shows a day on Thursdays and Fridays at 11am and 4pm

Late Night with Seth Myers

Tapes Mondays through Fridays at 5:30pm

Location: NBC Studios 30 Rockefeller Plaza

Age Requirements: Must be at least 17 years old with a valid ID

Tickets: To get tickets call 212-664-3056 at least a month before you plan to go and request up to four tickets. You may only book tickets once every six months. For standby tickets, get to the studio no later than 9am on the day of the taping.

Live! With Kelly

Tapes Monday through Friday at 9am. Ticket holders should be there no later than 8am.

Location: 7 Lincoln Center (ABC entrance at the South East corner of West 67th and Columbus Ave.)

Age Requirements: Must be at least 10 years old. An adult must accompany anyone under 18.

Getting Tickets: Fill out the form on their website requesting several dates at least 6-8 weeks beforehand. You will be notified 1 – 3 weeks prior to the taping if you get tickets.

You may also try standby. For standby you should show up to their studio at exactly 7am for a standby number. If there is room leftover in the studio after ticket holders are seated, they will take in those in the standby line, first come, first serve.

 

The People’s Court

Tapes Tuesdays through Thursdays at 10am and 2pm, September through June.

Location: 401 Fifth Ave, 7th Floor

Age Requirements: Should be 18 years old or older with a valid ID. Under 18 can often get in when accompanied by an adult.

Tickets: To reserve tickets you’ll need to call 1-888-780-8587 or email them at tickets@peoplescourt.com. If you email them, be sure to leave your phone number, as they will call you. When you speak with them they will let you know available days and times and you’ll select the one that works best for you. Show up to the taping at least an hour before it starts.

 

Rachael Ray Show

Tapes Tuesdays through Thursdays at 11:30am and again at 3:30pm.

Location: 222 East 44th Street

Age Requirement: Should be 16 years old or older with a valid ID.

Tickets: Go to the below mentioned URL and fill out their ticket request form. It may take up to three months for them to get back to you! When they do, they will email you with available dates and if you accept any, they will email you your tickets about two weeks before the show. For standby, you’ll need to arrive at the studio by 10am for the morning taping or by 2:15pm for the afternoon taping.

You’ll need to dress business casual for this taping. No jeans, t-shirts, etc. Get there early, as having a ticket does not guarantee you entrance. They often overbook. If you have tickets, I advise showing up at least 2 hours before the taping is to begin.

 

Saturday Night Live

Tapes at 11:30pm on Saturdays. You should be there with your ticket no later than 10:45pm. The dress rehearsal takes place at 8pm and you should be there with your tickets no later than 7:15pm.

Location: NBC Studios 30 Rockefeller Center

Age Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old with a valid ID.

Tickets: To get tickets, send an email ONLY during the month of August to: snltickets@nbcuni.com. Do NOT try to pick a date or particular show. If you do, your email will be disregarded. Don’t forget to include your contact information and if you’re selected you will receive two tickets to a random show.

 

You may try for standby tickets by waiting in line at the 49th Street side of 30 Rock. Tickets are handed out at 7am, but you will want to be there no later than 5am if you want any chance of actually getting a ticket. For big name shows, you will want to get there the night before and spend the night in line!

 

The Today Show

Tapes Every weekday from 7am to 11am.

Location: Weekday broadcasts are filmed at street level in a massive glass walled studio on the corner of 49th Street and Rockefeller Center.

Age Requirements: N/A

Tickets: There are none!

 

 

This show is open to the public. You can watch through the window of the studio or catch some of the action that is filmed outside on the street. Show up early to get a great spot. People start arriving around 4:30am, but you should be fine as long as you’re there by 6am. If there is a very popular guest, you may want to get there even earlier. Feel free to bring a big, bright sign to help get yourself noticed.

 

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Tapes Monday through Friday at 5pm

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Studio 6B 

Age Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old with a valid ID

Age Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old with a valid ID

Tickets: Request tickets by filling out their online form found via the below link. You will not get a confirmation. It takes 12 – 24 MONTHS to get tickets. They mail the tickets out to you about three weeks prior to the show. Standby is available. You’ll need to show up to the studio no later than 8am on the day of the show to get in line. Gifts are often given out to those who get into the show!

The Wendy Williams Show

Tapes/airs LIVE every Monday through Thursday at 10am and tapes a second show on Thursdays at 1:45pm.

Location: 433 West 53rd Street

Age Requirements: Must be 18 years old or older with a valid ID.

Tickets: You may reserve up to 5 tickets by picking a date and time on their website. If you get your date, they will email you a confirmation, which you must bring with you to the show. There is another form you can fill out if you’d like to try for future dates not yet listed on their calendar. You can try for standby tickets by getting to the studio no later than 8:30am on the day of the show. Dress “trendy”, no hats, sleeveless shirts, etc.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire

Tapes twice a day Mondays through Thursdays at 10:30am and 2:30pm. August through November only.

Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID.

Tickets: Starting early summer of each year, you can request tickets on the show’s website by filling out their request form. You are able to select dates and times, and if you are selected, they will mail you your tickets 2 – 4 weeks before taping. You will need to confirm that you will indeed show up. Standby tickets are available, but not guaranteed. To try your luck, show up to the studio on the day of the taping about two hours before the show starts.
